ਬਿਹਾਗੜਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥
bihaagaRaa mahalaa chauthhaa ||
Bihaagraa, Fourth Mehla:
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ ਕਉ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥
hau balihaaree tin(h) kau meree ji(n)dhuRe’e jin(h) har har naam adhaaro raam ||
I am a sacrifice, O my soul, to those who take the Support of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਗੁਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਬਿਖੁ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤਾਰਣਹਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥
gur satigur naam dhiraRaiaa meree ji(n)dhuRe’e bikh bhaujal taaranahaaro raam ||
The Guru, the True Guru, implanted the Name within me, O my soul, and He has carried me across the terrifying world-ocean of poison.
ਜਿਨ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਤਿਨ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਜੈਕਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥
jin ik man har dhiaaiaa meree ji(n)dhuRe’e tin sa(n)t janaa jaikaaro raam ||
Those who have meditated one-pointedly on the Lord, O my soul – I proclaim the Victory of those saintly beings.
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਸਭਿ ਦੂਖ ਨਿਵਾਰਣਹਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥੧॥
naanak har jap sukh paiaa meree ji(n)dhuRe’e sabh dhookh nivaaranahaaro raam ||1||
Nanak has found peace, meditating on the Lord, O my soul; the Lord is the Destroyer of all pain. ||1||
ਸਾ ਰਸਨਾ ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
saa rasanaa dhan dha(n)n hai meree ji(n)dhuRe’e gun gaavai har prabh kere raam ||
Blessed, blessed is that tongue, O my soul, which sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord God.
ਤੇ ਸ੍ਰਵਨ ਭਲੇ ਸੋਭਨੀਕ ਹਹਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਸੁਣਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
te sravan bhale sobhaneek heh meree ji(n)dhuRe’e har keeratan suneh har tere raam ||
Sublime and splendid are those ears, O my soul, which listen to the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises.
ਸੋ ਸੀਸੁ ਭਲਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਵਨੁ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਜੋ ਜਾਇ ਲਗੈ ਗੁਰ ਪੈਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
so sees bhalaa pavitr paavan hai meree ji(n)dhuRe’e jo jai lagai gur paire raam ||
Sublime, pure and pious is that head, O my soul, which falls at the Guru’s Feet.
ਗੁਰ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਚਿਤੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥੨॥
gur viTahu naanak vaariaa meree ji(n)dhuRe’e jin har har naam chitere raam ||2||
Nanak is a sacrifice to that Guru, O my soul; the Guru has placed the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, in my mind. ||2||
ਤੇ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਭਲੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹਹਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਜੋ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦੇਖਹਿ ਰਾਮ ॥
te netr bhale paravaan heh meree ji(n)dhuRe’e jo saadhoo satigur dhekheh raam ||
Blessed and approved are those eyes, O my soul, which gaze upon the Holy True Guru.
ਤੇ ਹਸਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹਹਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਲੇਖਹਿ ਰਾਮ ॥
te hasat puneet pavitr heh meree ji(n)dhuRe’e jo har jas har har lekheh raam ||
Sacred and sanctified are those hands, O my soul, which write the Praises of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੇ ਪਗ ਨਿਤ ਪੂਜੀਅਹਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਜੋ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਧਰਮ ਚਲੇਸਹਿ ਰਾਮ ॥
tis jan ke pag nit pooje’eeh meree ji(n)dhuRe’e jo maarag dharam chaleseh raam ||
I worship continually the feet of that humble being, O my soul, who walks on the Path of Dharma – the path of righteousness.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਨ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨੇਸਹਿ ਰਾਮ ॥੩॥
naanak tin viTahu vaariaa meree ji(n)dhuRe’e har sun har naam maneseh raam ||3||
Nanak is a sacrifice to those, O my soul, who hear of the Lord, and believe in the Lord’s Name. ||3||
ਧਰਤਿ ਪਾਤਾਲੁ ਆਕਾਸੁ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਸਭ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਰਾਮ ॥
dharat paataal aakaas hai meree ji(n)dhuRe’e sabh har har naam dhiaavai raam ||
The earth, the nether regions of the underworld, and the Akaashic ethers, O my soul, all meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਪਉਣੁ ਪਾਣੀ ਬੈਸੰਤਰੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵੈ ਰਾਮ ॥
paun paanee baisa(n)taro meree ji(n)dhuRe’e nit har har har jas gaavai raam ||
Wind, water and fire, O my soul, continually sing the Praises of the Lord, Har, Har, Har.
ਵਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਣੁ ਸਭੁ ਆਕਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਰਾਮ ॥
van tiran sabh aakaar hai meree ji(n)dhuRe’e mukh har har naam dhiaavai raam ||
The woods, the meadows and the whole world, O my soul, chant with their mouths the Lord’s Name, and meditate on the Lord.
ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਿ ਪੈਨ੍ਹਾਇਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੁੜੀਏ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਵੈ ਰਾਮ ॥੪॥੪॥
naanak te har dhar pain(h)aiaa meree ji(n)dhuRe’e jo guramukh bhagat man laavai raam ||4||4||
O Nanak, one who, as Gurmukh, focuses his consciousness on the Lord’s devotional worship – O my soul, he is robed in honor in the Court of the Lord. ||4||4||
