ਗੂਜਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Goojaree, Fifth Mehla:
ਆਪਨਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਰਮਹੁ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥
aapanaa gur sev sadh hee ramahu gun gobi(n)dh ||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ।
Serve your Guru forever, and chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe.
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਚਿੰਦ ॥੧॥
saas saas araadh har har leh jai man kee chi(n)dh ||1||
ਆਪਣੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ, ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗੀ ।੧।
With each and every breath, worship the Lord, Har, Har, in adoration, and the anxiety of your mind will be dispelled. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਜਾਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥
mere man jaap prabh kaa naau ||
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹੁ।
O my mind, chant the Name of God.
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਅਨੰਦ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਿਲੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਥਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sookh sahaj ana(n)dh paaveh milee niramal thaau ||1|| rahaau ||
(ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਸੁਖ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ, ਅਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਸੁੱਚਾ ਰੱਖ ਸਕੇ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
You shall be blessed with peace, poise and pleasure, and you shall find the immaculate place. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਉਧਾਰਿ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਆਰਾਧਿ ॥
saadhasa(n)g audhaar ih man aatt pahar aaraadh ||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਸ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾਈ ਰੱਖ, ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹ।
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, redeem your mind, and adore the Lord, twenty-four hours a day.
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਮਿਟੈ ਸਗਲ ਉਪਾਧਿ ॥੨॥
kaam karodh aha(n)kaar binasai miTai sagal aupaadh ||2||
(ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਕਾਮ ਕੋ੍ਰਧ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ, ਤੇਰਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਰੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ ।੨।
Sexual desire, anger and egotism will be dispelled, and all troubles shall end. ||2||
ਅਟਲ ਅਛੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਆਉ ॥
aTal achhedh abhedh suaamee saran taa kee aau ||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹੁ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਾਸ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ।
The Lord Master is immovable, immortal and inscrutable; seek His Sanctuary.
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਏਕ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਉ ॥੩॥
charan kamal araadh hiradhai ek siau liv laau ||3||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖ ।੩।
Worship in adoration the lotus feet of the Lord in your heart, and center your consciousness lovingly on Him alone. ||3||
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰੀ ਬਖਸਿ ਲੀਨੇ੍ ਆਪਿ ॥
paarabraham prabh dhiaa dhaaree bakhas leen(h)e aap ||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਲਿਆ।
The Supreme Lord God has shown mercy to me, and He Himself has forgiven me.
ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਪਿ ॥੪॥੨॥੨੮॥
sarab sukh har naam dheeaa naanak so prabh jaap ||4||2||28||
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ—ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ ।੪।੨।੨੮।
The Lord has given me His Name, the treasure of peace; O Nanak, meditate on that God. ||4||2||28||
