ਤਿਲੰਗ ਘਰੁ ੨ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
tila(n)g ghar doojaa mahalaa panjavaa ||
Tilang, Second House, Fifth Mehla:
ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥
tudh bin dhoojaa naahee koi ||
ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੁਝ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।
There is no other than You, Lord.
ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋ ਹੋਇ ॥
too karataar kareh so hoi ||
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
You are the Creator; whatever You do, that alone happens.
ਤੇਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਨਿ ਟੇਕ ॥
teraa jor teree man Tek ||
ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਤਾਣ ਹੈ, (ਸਾਡੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ ।
You are the strength, and You are the support of the mind.
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਏਕ ॥੧॥
sadhaa sadhaa jap naanak ek ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹੁ ।੧।
Forever and ever, meditate, O Nanak, on the One. ||1||
ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ॥
sabh uoopar paarabraham dhaataar ||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈ ।
The Great Giver is the Supreme Lord God over all.
ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
teree Tek teraa aadhaar || rahaau ||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ ।ਰਹਾਉ।
You are our support, You are our sustainer. ||Pause||
ਹੈ ਤੂਹੈ ਤੂ ਹੋਵਨਹਾਰ ॥ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਊਚ ਆਪਾਰ ॥
hai toohai too hovanahaar || agam agaadh uooch aapaar ||
ਹੇ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਅਥਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ।
You are, You are, and You shall ever be, O inaccessible, unfathomable, lofty and infinite Lord.
ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਭਉ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
jo tudh seveh tin bhau dhukh naeh ||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ।
Those who serve You, are not touched by fear or suffering.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
gur parasaadh naanak gun gaeh ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ।੨।
By Guru’s Grace, O Nanak, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||2||
ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਰੂਪੁ ॥ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਅਨੂਪ ॥
jo dheesai so teraa roop || gun nidhaan govi(n)dh anoop ||
ਹੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ! (ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ ।
Whatever is seen, is Your form, O treasure of virtue, O Lord of the Universe, O Lord of incomparable beauty.
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਜਨ ਸੋਇ ॥
simar simar simar jan soi ||
ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ! ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ ।
Remembering, remembering, remembering the Lord in meditation, His humble servant becomes like Him.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥
naanak karam paraapat hoi ||3||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ।੩।
O Nanak, by His Grace, we obtain Him. ||3||
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ॥
jin japiaa tis kau balihaar ||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ।
I am a sacrifice to those who meditate on the Lord.
ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤਰੈ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥
tis kai sa(n)g tarai sa(n)saar ||
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ।
Associating with them, the whole world is saved.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਲੋਚਾ ਪੂਰਿ ॥
kahu naanak prabh lochaa poor ||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ—ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰ,
Says Nanak, God fulfills our hopes and aspirations.
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਬਾਛਉ ਧੂਰਿ ॥੪॥੨॥
sa(n)t janaa kee baachhau dhoor ||4||2||
ਮੈਂ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ।੪।੨।
I long for the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||4||2||
